Recruitment Process
Vacancies (Advertisements)
ATU accepts applications through internet and fax. If there is a vacancy in the company, candidates, that seem appropriate, are invited to take Occupational Personality Inventor and English Exam. The appropriate candidates have the first interviews with Human Resources Department bound to the exam results. If the interviews are successful, the candidates have the second interviews with the related directors and Human Resources Manager. At the end of the interviews, Human Resources Department offers positions to the accepted candidates. The applications of the refused candidates are kept for one year.
Performance Management
ATU considers the Performance Mang. System as a managerial tool that supplies information about the human resources, that makes employees united with the whole company, that leads company to its targets. The main aims of this system are to form a healthy feedback mechanism between the management and employees, to provide a productive working environment to the employees, to define the necessities of progress and training, and to develop skills of the employees.We aim to increase the performance of our company by developing personal skills and competencies of our human resource. Performance Evaluation is formed by the active participation of the evaluated personnel and the managers. With the Performance Evaluation Meetings;
- performance of the previous period of each personnel is evaluated
- new targets and action plans of each personnel are determined

Training
Trainings in ATU are held in order to develop skills and competencies that are required for attaining the corporate targets. These trainings can be both Technical Trainings and Personal Improvement Trainings.All new colleagues have the Oriantation Training at first. Each colleague that joins the Sales Operation Team completes the standart trainings of ATU in the first year of his/her business life.

Career Planning & Personal Development

Competencies are the foundation for all Human Resources Management Systems, including defining criteria for selection and placement, determining which person is suitable for various open positions (such as career opportunities, promotions, forming project teams, etc.), identifying the need for training and education, and designing training sessions and career plans.Career Opportunities
Jobs and the requisite skills are announced internally to employees. Candidates within the company who consider themselves to be qualified for the job can apply. Managers of the candidates who meet the criteria are notified and are invited to participate in the job selection process.At ATÜ, Promotion is Proportional to Success
Promotion can be vertical or horizontal. In order to take a higher-ranking job, a person must have the characteristics required by the job description, such as the right knowledge and experience. However, the most important criterion is their level of performance.Assessment & Development Center
Our Assessment & Development Center has been set up to assess and identify the strong points, areas of improvement and potential areas of managerial candidates with regard to their competencies and to prepare them for management positions. After being assessed, candidates will receive feedback from their evaluator regarding their strong points, areas of improvement and potential areas. Each candidate that passes through the assessment process will take part in coaching and training programs for their areas of improvement.
Internal Communication at ATÜ
- An internal e-mail system, internal communication boxes and internal message boards are available to employees who wish to communicate their desires, wishes and complaints to us in writing. Employees are also able to anonymously share their desires, suggestions and complaints through the internal communication committee. Changes and news items at ATÜ are announced to employees by posting announcements on message boards.
- ATÜ has set up an Intranet as an internal company web site that is used as a communication platform for the whole company.
- Congratulatory messages are sent to ATÜ employees on their birthdays to foster a friendly work environment.
- Our employees participate in various social responsibility projects that we carry out. For instance, employees put on themed drawing competitions for children and also participate in voluntary donation programs.

- ATAK (ATÜ Activity Club) puts on various activities, tours and meetings to strengthen internal communication (examples: photography, activity-tour club, painting workshop and purchasing group tickets).

WAGES AND BENEFITS
Social Security premiums are paid for ATÜ employees as well as private health insurance upon request. Transportation to the General Headquarters building is also provided. A monthly meal card is provided for lunch. Employees at the General Headquarters dine at the personnel cafeteria in the airport and other restaurants. Compensation at ATÜ is primarily based on performance. A just and fair bonus and sharing system is implemented.Salary raises are made by taking into consideration the rate of inflation, sector averages, as well as the employee?s duties, efforts at self-improvement and contributions to ATÜ goals. The remuneration package consists of base salary, bonus, meals, travel assistance and other payments for fringe benefits.
Employees are recognized for the performance and creativity they display by means of letters of appreciation and financial rewards.
Company doctors who can intervene in emergency situations are present at ATÜ. Furthermore, our personnel can take advantage of the Port Clinic in the airport.Vacation
Shift workers:- 16 days for those who have served 1 to 3 years
- 20 days for those with seniority of 3 to 5 years
- 26 days for those with seniority of 6 to 14 years.
- 12 days for those who have served 1 to 4 years
- 18 days for those with 5 or more years of seniority.
- ATÜ also offers leave for sickness, marriage, death, birth and maternity.

ATÜ PROCESSES AND INTERACTION
ATÜ has set up and documented its Quality Management System in accordance with the requirements for the ISO-9001:2000 standard and as described by the handbook. ATÜ is implementing this system and ensures that it is continually improved.The processes within the quality management system have been defined and the various stages of these processes and their relationship to each other in the organization have been specified.
The required methods and criteria have been established to ensure that the processes operate efficiently and are inspected. ATÜ carefully performs the work needed to monitor, measure, analyze and continually improve these processes.
