Summer Skin Care

Summer Skin Care. We need to act as soon as possible and make preparations for the summer in order to improve the strength of our skin against the potential damaging effects of the sun rays that are felt more and more strongly on warm summer days. Keep in mind that this season requires us to care about our skin more than the usual.

What are the effects of summer?

Our skin acting like a shield against harmful effects of the sun gradually loses its collagen, elastin and other similar proteins as well as the moisture and starts drying and sagging due to losing its elasticity if we get caught defenceless.

Then number of blood vessels (capillary vessels) increase, the skin becomes thicker in order to defend the skin and deep tissues against the sun rays (UV rays) thus it takes up a mat and inhomogeneous colour and spots, freckles. These are the reasons for applying treatments after summer, however, what we really want is to strengthen the skin before they occur and reduce the skin problems up to a certain level. In consideration of the increased number of skin cancer cases, protection and the relevant measures become more important.

Is it possible to reduce the skin problems created by the sun?

It is possible to prevent or minimize harms of the sun rays on our skin. Therapeutic and skin-care products must be used more on summer in order to enhance the protein and moisture capacity of the skin.
On summer, it is important to use exfoliating products containing fruit acids, skin care creams increasing the volume of proteins such as collagen and elastin that strengthen the skin, serums providing various vitamins, minerals, amino acids, proteins, enzymes and similar materials to the skin. It is also important to know that wrong and unsuitable cosmetic and derma cosmetic products create most of the skin problems.
In addition to all of the aforementioned factors, it is needed to have a healthy life and diet for healthy skin and hair. Daily water consumption must be increased, fruit and vegetables with rich vitamin A, E and C content must be given weight in order to follow an anti-aging diet. Supplements such as carotene, biotin, some vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, Omega-3 and Omega-6 prove to be very beneficial when included in a healthy diet pattern. Free radicals in our body increase with the effect of the sun rays. We eliminate most of the aforementioned affect through regular use of skin care products.
